Jens joined the Arlington team in September 2003 and became a Director in 2006. Jens spent the first 23 years of his career working for the Den norske Bank group, joining the then Den norske Creditbank as an equities analyst in 1972. After switching to the international side, in 1978 he moved to Nordfinanz-Bank Zurich where he served as a Director and member of the management board with particular responsibility for Norwegian and shipping business. On his return to Oslo he worked as a General Manager in the International and Corporate divisions and as a director of several of the bank’s subsidiaries and investment holdings, pursuant to which he was also responsible for managing a number of the bank’s work-outs and debt-for-equity swaps. Since retiring from the bank in 1995 he has managed his private portfolio of both quoted and venture investments. In this respect he has been a major investor in, and Chairman of, the Danish biotechnology company Origio A/S which has developed a number of specialist products for use in IVF treatment and cell culture. Jens holds an MBA from the University of Mannheim. |
