Pierre Schroeder brings more than 25 years’ experience in managing proprietary trading positions and teams for Société Générale (SG) and subsequently for his own firm, Square Investment Management, which today manages his private portfolio. Pierre first started proprietary trading in 1983 for Sogenal Luxembourg, an SG affiliate from where he progressed to roles that included Treasurer and Head of Fixed Income, FX, Derivatives and Proprietary Trading of SG New York between 1993 and 2000. In this role Pierre set-up proprietary trading groups including a diversified and highly profitable multi-billion dollar fixed income portfolio. Whilst continuing to lead trading activities, between 2000 and 2003 Pierre was also head of SG New York Debt Finance Division with responsibility for the banks’ substantial cash and derivatives balance sheets. He retired from SG in 2003 and in 2004 established Square Investment Management, which from 2005 to 2007 managed a hedge fund supported by Société Générale Asset Management. Pierre is a law graduate of University of Paris I-Sorbonne. |
